How To Achieve A Lightweight Make-Up Look

The perfect lightweight makeup look can be worn by everyone, from those dashing to make it back to the office on time, to those who like to spend a little longer perfecting the more natural look. This makeup really can work for everyone, especially those who want to let their natural beauty shine.

Base:

Starting off with a good base is necessary. I really love a simple moisturiser such as the Clinique Moisture Surge. A 50ml tub will set you back £38, however Clinique regularly promote sales on this product, due to its best-selling qualities, and is often reduced to around the £30 mark. It’s a gentle moisturiser which does what it says on the tub – gives you a kick of moisture, to ensure you are looking fresh-faced all day long!

The next step is a fabulous radiance booster by Iconic London. This is a brand-new product which really gives you that gorgeous glow. At £30 this product is brilliant, as you can use it all over as a primer, or in smaller areas for a boost of radiance. Additionally, if you want to add a further glow, The Glow Bundle is a selection of products from Iconic London’s Radiance Range, which can add some extra sparkle to your face during these grey winter months.

To give some coverage, the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation is the perfect product. Providing an even finish, this really embodies the importance of lightweight makeup. Another brilliant feature is that you can use the Charlotte Tilbury shade matcher on their website to find your perfect colour. I have used this myself and can say I managed to find the perfect shade, even online. At £34 this may be a slightly more expensive lightweight foundation; however, I really do think it is buildable and lightweight.

Concealer:

For those areas that do need a tiny bit more coverage, the NARS creamy concealer is the best product. Creamy and not too thick, this really hides the areas which need a little more help.  Although compared to some drug-store concealers, this product is on the pricier side at £24.50, it lasts a lifetime if used in small quantities

Blusher:

STUDIO10’s Plumping Blush Glow-plexion is my wonder product! Glowy, plumping and boosting with radiance, this lightweight product gives my face a little bit more life, even on my most dull days. STUDIO10 specialises in make-up for mature skin, however with products as brilliant as this one, we could all use a top up of plumping, glowing goodness. At £24 this product is long-lasting and worth every penny, for price per wear.

Bronzer:

The Chanel Les Beiges Bronzing Cream is another product I can’t live without. The perfect cream bronzer which lasts all day! Although this product is more expensive than others at £43, it does last for a very long time and can be used all year round.

Mascara:

One of my favourite mascaras is one I received in my Cohorted Beauty Box. The Laura Geller Everyday Excellence Defining Mascara is the perfect product to give your eyes some definition. Application is easy and doesn’t leave you with clumpy lashes or black marks on your lids. Try this mascara for a gorgeous eye-opening look.

Lips:

Finally, lips! I think this can really bring a makeup look together. My current favourite combination is MAC boldly bare lip liner and MAC Pure Zen Lipstick. This is the perfect nude combination and both products are really moisturising and natural looking

This product combination is so diverse that it can be worn as a day or evening look, for those who want to achieve an au-naturel, glowing complexion. However, each product can also be worn alone or mixed and matched with others, to create the perfect makeup look for every individual.
