[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]I[/eltd_dropcaps]f I said the word skincare what would think of? Products for your face? Body scrubs and serums? But have you ever typed into Google skincare products for Décolletage? Because I haven’t. Its the one area I don’t think about. The one area I shove suncream on a few times a year and get gone with it. Our necks and chests are becoming ever more exposed to the harsh environment, so keeping them healthy is so important.

What exactly is it? The Décolletage is the area from your neck to your chest. Anything that a lower neckline of a dress of top would show off.

Décolletage can have the same skin damage as your face (and the rest of you for that matter). Too much sun, lifestyle and natural ageing will bring about a break down in collagen and skin begins to sag. This is all natural and shouldn’t be scary, to a degree, but as mentioned, there are so many factors that can accelerate this. The damage? Fine lines and pigment damage that will only get bigger with age.

Ways to keep that neck looking top notch:

  1. Wear a suncream with over SPF 30. Buying the most expensive one won’t necessarily help, even cheap drug store buys will do the job.
  2. Exfoliating will get rid of dead cells, so try it once a week!
  3. Adding hydration to a dry area can have amazing results, so why not moisturise down your neck and onto your chest just as you do with your face?
  4. Cleansing the skin is vital, so find one that gives just enough oils to replenish but not dry out the skin. Oh- and always pat dry, don’t rub everything off or make the skin irritated with a towel

The Décolletage is such an important area, and is often the first bit of skin to show signs of ageing. Never be worried about fine lines or wrinkles, but always add that extra step into your skincare routine to make sure you’ve done all you can to ensure firmness for years to come.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
