Laura Pearson:
New-In Beauty

It’s summer and the weather is glorious. We want to make sure we are well protected from the sun, that our skin is hydrated and moisturised and that our skin is plump and glowing. Here’s a round-up of my current summer skin and hair saviours, so you can get them added to your basket.

Nip+Fab Hyaluronic Fix Extreme4 2% Hydration Serum - £22.95 from Boots

The Extreme4 hydrating range is new to Nip+Fab and the hydrating serum is a real winner. We all need to have a simple hydrating serum in our stash, to keep it topped up with moisture and looking plump and healthy. This one isn’t sticky, absorbs beautifully and really does pack a punch in the moisture stakes.

Guerlain Kiss Kiss Bee Glow Lip Balm - £32.00 from John Lewis

There is something so delightfully indulgent about a boujie lip balm and this 98% natural one from Guerlain won’t disappoint. Its key ingredient is the honey that runs through all of Guerlain’s skincare offerings. It’s soothing, nourishing and moisturising. It comes in 6 very muted shades and envelops the lips in creamy, comforting texture. The gold packaging is stunning too.

Ciate Watermelon Burst Hydrating Primer - £24.00 from Ciate

Visually, this just epitomises summer. There’s something so juicy-looking about it that will make you desperate to put it on your skin. This hydrating primer gives a beautiful plump and hydrated base for makeup to cling too, helping it last longer in the hot summer weather. Not only that, but it minimises the appearance of pores too. It smells incredible and feels so refreshing on the skin. Excuse me whilst I just add another three to my basket…

Vesta London Beauty Date Night Lip Gloss - £13.00 from Vesta London Beauty

This small, independent UK brand makes an amazing range of nude-toned lip glosses with just the most perfect formulation. They are super shiny and glossy; giving lips this 3D, plump, glass sheen. They aren’t sticky and have a relatively thick formulation that means you only need to sweep over them once for the perfect, even application. They feel so comfortable to wear and are formulated with nourishing and softening shea butter and cocoa butter.

Duck & Dry Pre-Heat Prep Primer Spray - £22.00 from Duck & Dry

The famous blow-dry bar has their own range of haircare and styling products in the cutest of packaging. Their heat primer spray works so well at protecting your hair from hot hair tools and the sun. Spray it through towel-dried hair to de-tangle, de-frizz, smooth add shine and protect your hair from the heat that will follow as you dry and style it. It doesn’t weight your hair down or make it feel greasy and it smells beautiful too.

Serge Lutens Emblematic Collection Noire Fragrance Set - £50.00 from Serge Lutens

This luxury fragrance set is perfect for all those summer travel plans. The set contains three Serge Lutens travel-sized fragrance sprays, inspired by foreign cities, in the chicest of packaging. Nuit de cellophane is inspired by Parisian haute couture fashion. It smells luxurious and stylish and has notes of mandarin and osmanthus. La fille de Berlin is inspired by this culturally-rich German city. It’s strong, formidable and edgy and has notes of rose and patchouli. Finally, Fleurs d’oranger brings all the vibes of Morocco and it’s enchanting wonderment. It’s a happy scent of oranges, neroli and earthy, sweet bourbon vanilla.
