Beauty's Hottest New Arrivals: Stay Ahead of the Trend

Summer is in full force and it’s always a busy time of year for new beauty launches. I’ve had lots land on my desk to try, but these are my highlights that I think are worth your attention.

This is one lush lip balm! A glossy oil-balm, it leaves your lips looking super slick and juicy. It has a rich honey-like texture; but without any of the unpleasant stickiness. It really envelops the lips and lasts a long time; doing it’s work nourishing and hydrating dry skin. It has a clean, fresh, uplifting scent of eucalyptus, bergamot and juniper berry and really does pack a punch in the lip care stakes.

The original Dermalogica Precleanse is a cult product and this version will certainly be heading that way too. Instead of a balm texture, it’s a light milk that uses micellar to remove makeup, oil and dirt.

The  prebiotics are balancing your skin’s microbiome and helping your skin barrier retain moisture.

It really is a powerhouse of great ingredients as murumuru butter and cotton seed proteins condition the skin and fortifiy the skin barrier; oat milk soothes; and apricot kernel oil gives great antioxidant benefits.

This fragrance is such a beautiful, feminine scent and is housed in the most beautiful of bottles. It’s a fresh and quite classic, romantic rose scent; with a touch of fruitiness and some woody, earthy notes. There are top notes of rosewater and blackcurrant; heart notes of rose and freesia and base notes of patchouli and Dreamwood. If you are a fan of rose fragrances, this is one that I think most people will find it hard not to love.

If you need a new hydrating serum, this  Hyaluronic acid and freshwater algae one is calling your name. It has a water-jelly texture that melts on the skin. Apply on slightly damp skin and watch it drink the serum in. It penetrates and hydrates deeply and it uses REN’s Hydra-Smart Technology to keep that moisture locked in for up to 72 hours. Not only does it hydrate and plump, but it uses Wild Rosella to target the root cause of dehydrated skin too

The cult Mineral 89 hydrating serum now has a moisturiser version. I’m not actually a huge fan on the serum – the texture isn’t the best and there are a lot better hydrating serums out there on the high street; however, I’m impressed by the new cream that’s launched. It really does make a noticeable difference to your skin’s moisture levels very quickly. Packed full of hydrators (Hyaluronic acid, squalane and Vichy Volcanic Mineral Water), it hydrates and keeps that moisture locked in. A vitamin complex and lipids strengthen the skin barrier and condition the skin too; leaving it plump and soft.

I attended the launch for this serum and it contains my hero ingredient Niacinamide. It may seem pricey for a serum; but when you see all the research behind it and the amazing ingredients, it’s absolutely worth it and your skin will thank you for it. The clue is in the name it has 5 clinically-proven skin benefits. It plumps and smoothes wrinkles, repairs the skin barrier, brightens, reduces redness redness and minimises pores. That’s pretty much most people’s skin complaints tackled, right?! Hyaluronic acid, Niacinamide, Vitamin C and Bakuchiol (a plant alternative to retinol) have all your bases covered. Why use three serums, when one does it all?
