If you’ve never heard of Silk’n Infinity, you’re missing out. It’s a compact at-home hair removal device that uses eHPLTM technology to create pulses of light, which claims to permanently remove undesired hair. But does it actually work? Lucky for you, I took one for the team and found out.
My favourite thing about the Silk’N Infinity is that it comes with a phone app that creates your own customised treatment plan, letting you know how long to leave between sessions and alerting you when it’s time to get lasering so that you don’t forget. The app also contains how-to videos and is able to update your plan as you go along to ensure you achieve the best results.

As long as you remember to shave first, using the device is fairly straight-forward. There are five heat levels and the app tells you what it should be set to based on the body part. I used it on my legs and underarms. Once you’ve set it to the right level, all you need to do is put the device on the desired body part, press the button, and slowly move it until you’ve covered the whole area.
According to the manual, you need to wait about 8 weeks to see results. In my experience, that’s bang on. At first, there’s no real difference but slowly as the weeks went on, I noticed that my hair had seriously slowed in terms of growth, particularly on my legs. I’m not sure if the fact that I’ve had laser on my underarms before made a difference but in my opinion, the device definitely works.
Whether it permanently removes hair is debatable but if it means I have to shave my legs less than usual, I’m all for it and you should be too.
