There’s so much to look forward to, including all the SS20 trends: hot pink lips, yellow eyeshadow and dewy skin, topped with a pink blush. Isolation is the ultimate experiment, so get creative and get your nails summer ready!

Like every season, we’re flooded with nail inspiration to take us through our days inside. It’s the perfect opportunity for us to get creative and experiment, so we’ve got together a few favourite tips to get your nails looking totally hot for Summer…[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Stock up on pastels and brights

This season, in case you didn’t realise, pastels rule. Adding some pastel-coloured and brightly-coloured nail polishes to your collection is guaranteed to get on board the trend train. Your go-to shades could include mint green, baby blue, candy pink, corals and yellows – maybe even at the same time!

Get creative with summer nail art designs

Unleash your artistic self by indulging in summer nail art designs. If you don’t know where to start, you’ll find thousands of inspo photos on Instagram and Pinterest. You can try playing around with patterns on your nails such as polka dots and stripes, or you can add some summer-inspired illustrations like some sunshine, palm trees, cacti, florals or berries and fruit.

Lacquer up with gels

Give your nails a smooth finish with gel nail polishes. There are loads of tutorials online on how to apply your own gel and the equipment you will need. Get the right kind of polish and get your nails prepped for a long-lasting shine.

Go matte

Alternatively, combine pastel-coloured nail polishes with a matte topcoat to create the ultimate spring-matte nails. You can mix any shade with a matte topcoat, such as yellow or white nail polish.

Go bold

If bright colours aren’t your thing, then you can still go for a bold nail polish shade such as deep blues, bright reds, bright purples, dark pinks and dark oranges. One recommendation is Barry M’s Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Damson, a perfect blue shade that’s cool for the summer. If you don’t want to achieve bold nails, then you can opt-in for pink nude hues instead.

Add a hint of shimmer

Make your nails sparkle with a bit of glitter and shimmer. Barry M’s Under The Sea and Glitterati Nail Paint collection has a range of glittery nail polishes that will take your nails under the sea and out of this world.
