[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]CBD[/eltd_dropcaps] oil is something we are hearing much more of, especially over the past few years. Although there is still a lot of controversy surrounding the benefits of CBD oil, it’s quickly becoming a favourite of self–medication amongst people with health issues.
Best known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-anxiety properties, CBD oil is widely used amongst cancer patients, with some studies claiming CBD slows down and even shrinks tumours. It is also known to target bad cells and not healthy ones, whilst helping to regenerate brain cells.
We are now learning that it’s amazing properties are much wider spread and are used for a variety of medical conditions.

But it doesn’t stop there, as we are now seeing this amazing oil creeping into our beauty/skincare products and in certain foods and drink. So, what is it about this oil that’s truly amazing and how come we are only just learning about it now?
CBD oil (which stands for cannabidiol) is a strain from the amazing hemp plant and its properties are pretty mind blowing. CBD is a cannabinoid which is a chemical naturally found in marijuana plants. Although it comes from a marijuana plant, CBD has little if any intoxicating properties and does not create “the high” sensation. This is caused by another cannabinoid called THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).

With recent studies proving that CBD helps and treats a wide range of medical conditions (with some still being studied) and the list is pretty impressive. This includes….
• Insomnia
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Cancer
• Alzheimer’s
• Parkinson’s
• Seizers
• Multiple sclerosis
• Acne
• Pain relief
So, you can see why this oil is rapidly becoming very popular. There are side effects that come with CBD which include nausea, fatigue and irritability. This will all depend how much is consumed at a certain time. It’s always recommended to consult someone, who can advise the best amount for you.
I personally, have been using CBD oil for the past 7 months, alongside my breast cancer treatment. I have found CBD to be paramount in my cancer journey. As someone who struggles with anxiety, this oil is the only thing that has kept me calm and my temperament low.

Alot has happened to my body on this journey, especially going through chemotherapy as a young woman. I have been thrown into a premature menopause at the age of 33, my hormones have been up and down. CBD oil is the only thing that helped with all my body changes.
Such as….
• Keeping my anxiety at bay.
• Sleeping.
• Keeping calm.
• Fast recovery.
• Joints.
• Healthy cells.
• Stress levels.
• Helping with hot flushes.
It’s worked wonders for me personally and I know a lot of other people on cancer journeys, who also find CBD oil so essential. CBD is not for everybody; some people don’t like using it at all.
As we know, lack of sleep can have some serious consequences on the body and so taking this oil helped me maintain a healthy sleeping pattern, especially as I went through chemotherapy, which was key for me. One of the main side effects from chemo is insomnia and I would have seriously struggled without the CBD oil. This would have set my recovery back a lot, so I would have been really lost without it.

To me CBD is like “a little bottle of magic” and it is going to be a part of my life for the foreseeable future. It played and still plays a massive roll in my cancer recovery; I was using it right through my journey and I give it props for keeping me healthy along the way. I also felt that the oil sped my recovery up and helped me bounce back a lot faster than if I didn’t have it.
I believe that we are going to be hearing and seeing a lot more of this amazing oil. It’s fast becoming a favourite alternative medicine and ingredient, which is why more people are swaying towards it in recent years.
Already being highly used in the beauty industry, taking it by storm in fact, we are seeing more of CBD in our face creams, serums and body lotion, with some saying it can help fight against wrinkles!

I can imagine that we are going to hear more great things about CBD in the years to come. The UK, the number of oil users has nearly doubled in the past year, with people preferring to use alternative remedies, especially where mental health is concerned. There are still a lot of studies being made on CBD for medicinal use.
The list is endless where this incredible oil is concerned.
What is next for this amazing oil? World domination perhaps?????!!
