This is the main thing to aim for when it comes to helping the environment, and there are so many ways you can recycle your clothes.
– Charity shops – a brilliant way of donating to help good causes and recycling your old clothes. But, as good as this is, charity shops sometimes throw away clothes, which doesn’t help the situation. That’s where the next option comes into place
– Redesign – A fun way of recycling your clothes is redesigning them. Whether you sew or iron on patches, cut them up to make something different. There are loads of ways of doing it. Just get creative
– Car boots – a way of making extra cash and selling the things you don’t want! And someone else gets a bargain.

Resist online sales
Are you a sucker for those online sales? Or when your favourite online store does a free next day delivery and you just want to throw everything you see in the new in section into your basket? I too have been sucked into that hole of wanting to buy everything in the new in sections online.
But this all comes down to will power and saying no to that extra order of clothes. This not only saves you money, and saves the extra packaging.
A lot of online packaging just isn’t recyclable, so if you are shopping online and that store you have nearby, why not save the plastic? Take your own shopping bags and try stuff on in person. As returns can take ages when you buy something online, find out it doesn’t fit so you send it back. It’s a win-win really! Shopping is more fun in person in my eyes, as you get to try on clothes and items to get more of a feel for them rather than just pictures or videos if the items on models.

Vintage stores are another good place to get yourself something pre-loved but also unique. Re yoked vintage and retro clothes are perfect for those with a unique style. Pre-loved clothes are always a winner and always look so stylish when added to more modern accessories. Charity shops are also gold mines for amazing vintage pieces!
