There is no shortage of skincare products on the market, so it is easy to get overwhelmed when buying new products. Beauty Influencer, Laura Pearson, has put many of these products to the test and here she shares some of her favourites…
We all need a hydrating Hyaluronic Acid serum in our routine, that will flood our skin with moisture. This new release from Dermalogica not only hydrates at the point of application, but it keeps skin moisture levels replenished from within as the day goes on. The serum utilises a molecular type of Hyaluronic Acid that can penetrate deeply into the skin, plus an Algae Extract further boosts this. Polyglutamic Acid is what keeps moisture levels replenished from within, and plant sugars and amino acids trap water on the skin’s surface to prevent hydration evaporation. It’s light, non-sticky and your skin will literally drink it in. Add it this serum’s microbiome-balancing postbiotics and you get a creation that’s simply rather wonderful.
The results from this new Filorga range are being heralded all over Instagram. It’s designed to takes 5 areas of aesthetic medicine expertise and use them to ‘fill out’ 5 types of wrinkles – expression lines, surface wrinkles, deep wrinkles, dryness wrinkles and neck wrinkles. This is one high-tech, advanced gel-cream moisturiser and it uses aesthetic medicine practices to inspire the similar results delivered by this cream – from peels, to filling injections and lifting threads. It’s light, cooling and it mattifies combination to oily skin.
This new release from Algenist is a great brightening and anti-ageing Vitamin C serum, that also utilises the hydrating powers of patented Alguronic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid to counteract some of the dryness Vitamin C can cause. It’s designed to brighten, plus give your skin’s cells a kickstart to produce collagen to keep it plump and bouncy. Immediate results can be seen in the more radiant complexion, smoother texture and refined tone of your facial skin. It’s potent, it feels good and you’ll notice a difference fast.
This is one mighty powerhouse of a serum. Not for the faint-hearted or someone who doesn’t already use these ingredients, as it can be more of an irritant having them in there together. I, however, use Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C and my hero skincare ingredient Niacinamide in my daily skincare routine already. Ferulic Acid isn’t an antioxidant I’ve used before, but it helps to neutralise free radicals and help prevent damage from environmental stresses. Vitamin C is a powerful brightening and anti-ageing ingredient that helps to stimulate collagen production. Hyaluronic Acid is a miracle hydrator that keeps the moisture it brings locked into the skin. Niacinamide is the single-most important ingredient in refining my pores and improving my skin texture. What’s amazing about this serum is that all ingredients are kept seperate and at their most potent, only mixing when the pump is pressed. You are getting some serious bang for your buck here.
I’ve been using silk pillowcases for a long time as they have so many beauty benefits. However, this brand of silk pillowcase is a new discovery for me. Made from extremely high-quality silk, 600 Thread Count 100% Mulberry Silk, it’s giving you the maximum skin and hair benefits possible. From de-frizzing your hair, to preventing sleep lines on your face, once you go silk, you’ll never go back. It even has anti-bacterial properties to prevent breakouts. It feels so soft and cooling to sleep on and it’s worth every penny.
