How to Style New Year Wardrobe Staples

Blazers
Gone are the days where tailoring was kept solely as office-wear. Blazers have very much been a street-style staple over the last few years. It’s a trend that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, it’s hard to think of an outfit that wouldn’t be complimented with a sleek blazer. Style with jeans and a basic turtleneck for a casual look. Or if you are daring enough to brave bare legs in the winter, opt for an oversized blazer and knee boots.
White Shirt
As Victoria Beckham once said: “if in doubt, anything looks good with a white shirt” – and she was so right! A classic white shirt has the ability to make any outfit feel instantly elegant. Layering is one of the trendiest ways to style – you can wear it under a sleeveless dress, crop top or oversized jumper. If layering is not your thing, style with baggy jeans for that off-duty model look.
Puffer Jacket
If you haven’t already invested in a puffer jacket, then there really is no better time than the present. As well as being incredibly stylish and warm, these cloud-like coats are the nearest thing you could get to wearing your duvet as a piece of clothing. Consider opting for a muted colour puffer jacket this year – in shades of soft pink, cream and earthy khaki. They are particularly ideal for casual dressing with joggers or leather trousers and trainers
Knee Boots
Perfect for dressing up or dressing down, the knee-high boot is for sure a timeless piece for any wardrobe. This season they can be found in any colour, any print and at pretty much any store at any price point – although black boots are by far the most versatile! Style with a mini dress and oversized jacket or coat or for a more casual look – or with a shirt dress and oversized knit. Knee boots are coming into 2022 with us, that’s for sure.
Leather Trousers
Leather trousers have long been a wardrobe essential for the cooler winter months. They are as versatile as they come, looking good with everything from a chunky knit and boots to heels and a basic tee. This season’s go-to colours are the classic black as well as shades of brown and nudes to tap into the autumnal shades. If you haven’t already, then you absolutely should invest in a pair (or two) to take your 2022 leather looks to another level!
