A Tribute to Mothers Day

This post is about mum’s and I won’t move away from that, but I want to open with something my dad would actually say every year whilst I was growing up, when we’d talk about celebrating mother’s day… “Mother’s day is everyday! Every day you should be spoiling and loving your mum, it shouldn’t just be on one day.” But since growing up, mother’s day has meant more. Why not have a day to go all out and spoil your mum to show her just how much she means to you? Everyday IS mother’s day, but mother’s day isn’t everyday. So spoil your mum, give her the biggest hug and remind her just how much she means to you.

Compelling books across centuries by Females, for Females

[eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]L[/eltd_dropcaps]iterature by women has developed across centuries. Once, society set ongoing pressures on women’s writing – it was considered an act of rebellion against societal norms; yet women have been able to produce some of the most iconic and inspirational novels that have made a permanent marker in transforming history. To celebrate International Women’s Day, I’m going to share with you some jaw-clenching, eloquent and meaningful novels that have been written by some of our best feminist authors across generations.

International Womens Day: Women in Beauty

[eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]W[/eltd_dropcaps]ithout a doubt, women have been revolutionising the beauty industry, right from the early days of even the 1900s when Elizabeth Arden bowled onto the scene waving the flag for women everywhere. With her outspoken nature and scientific makeup formulas, she got the world on board with the idea that women can wear makeup for the sheer delight of it, for themselves and not for a man! What a thought!

The Sex Haze

[eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]O[/eltd_dropcaps]ne of the latest sex trends to arise in 2020 is the idea of the “sex haze”, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like: a haze that descends on your brain after you have sex, connecting that moment with a level of intimacy, attraction, and emotion that isn’t necessarily there.

Why Being Fired Was The Best Thing That Happened To Me

[eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]A[/eltd_dropcaps] couple of years ago I was fired from a job that I hated. I didn’t realise it at the time but it was having a huge effect on my mental and physiological health. I became apathetic, uninterested in everything, and well, stress manifests itself in a plethora of ways. Who knew it was work related? And then came one Friday afternoon…

[eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]H[/eltd_dropcaps]ey boys, it’s time to stop saying “I love you” during sex.

Every girl has had to suffer through the awkward, uncomfortable moment where a boy says “I love you” during sex. Just as every boy has, at one time, uttered those three little words and then promptly looked like he wanted to throw himself out of the window.
