DIY Gifts You Can Make for International Friendship Day

[eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]W[/eltd_dropcaps]e’ve all heard the saying “friends are the family that you get to choose for yourself”, and never a truer word has been spoken. Friends are so important at any point in our lives, so it’s not surprising there is an international day dedicated to celebrating our friendships.

World Friendship Day, celebrated on 30th July, is a national day which allows us to celebrate our friends and share how grateful we are to have them. If you’re guilty of not actively showing much appreciation or gratitude to those who have stuck by you through thick and thin, this upcoming national day could be a great one for you to pencil in!

Equal Pay Day: How To Move On If Your Pay Rise is Refused

[eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]A[/eltd_dropcaps]s Equal Pay Day is coming up on April 15th, it’s time to discuss a topic that many people struggle with: having the confidence to ask for a pay rise.

Let’s face it, asking for a rise isn’t an easy thing to prepare for. For most of us, it makes us feel awkward and scared. It’s a daunting task, almost like selling ourselves to those in superior positions. Putting ourselves on pedestals and having a strong backup case to support what we’re trying to put forward.

Honouring our Siblings

[eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]F[/eltd_dropcaps]ull, Half, Step or even through friendship, this day is the day we celebrate our beloved best friend’s and our (sometimes) worst enemies all in one, our siblings. We probably don’t show our appreciation enough for these individuals but really, we have to give them a lot of credit; especially if you’ve grown up along-side them for your whole life or at least a majority of it.

Mothers Day in our house is a double celebration!

[eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]I[/eltd_dropcaps]t might surprise you, but one of the questions I’m often asked is ‘how do you celebrate Mothers Day as a two mum family?’, usually followed with ‘does one of you take Mothers Day and the other Fathers Day?’… So, I thought seeing as it’s nearly Mothers Day, I’d share a bit about our family.

A Tribute to Mothers Day

This post is about mum’s and I won’t move away from that, but I want to open with something my dad would actually say every year whilst I was growing up, when we’d talk about celebrating mother’s day… “Mother’s day is everyday! Every day you should be spoiling and loving your mum, it shouldn’t just be on one day.” But since growing up, mother’s day has meant more. Why not have a day to go all out and spoil your mum to show her just how much she means to you? Everyday IS mother’s day, but mother’s day isn’t everyday. So spoil your mum, give her the biggest hug and remind her just how much she means to you.
