The London Hair Salon That Transforms Into An Exclusive Members Club After Dark

In case you missed it, there’s a hair salon in Soho that doubles as an exclusive member club.

As the glass shopfront of Salon64 turns dark, you know that Club64 is open for business—think an intimate yet modern speakeasy, complete with French champagne, marble worktops, and a warm fire pit. And while I haven’t been to the club myself (#stayhome), I was lucky enough to be invited to check out the salon just before lockdown began. And I plan on returning soon because not only do I desperately need a haircut but it’s also one of the best hair salons in the biz!

As soon as I walked into Salon64, I felt right at ease. I was greeted by friendly faces at the front desk then immediately sent to the coffee bar where I was served an extra hot Americano (just the way I like it). Shortly after, I met Bradley, who was going to be cutting my hair. We chatted through my hair goals and what I wanted out of the appointment. At the time I was desperately trying to grow my hair for a friend’s now postponed wedding and Bradley sensibly recommended opting for a trim to get rid of all my split ends as well as a slight tidy up to add some much-needed shape and to frame the face. Immediately, I knew I could trust him.

'As soon as I walked into Salon64, I felt right at ease.'

Salon64 puts a huge emphasis on the art of conversation and Bradley embraced this, skipping the small talk, and chatting about everything else from food to travel while he did his thing. Before I knew it, my hair had been washed, dried, and completely transformed. It looked fresh and healthy yet somehow maintained the length I walked in with. I’m sure anyone who has ever been to the hairdresser while trying to grow their hair, only to have them cut it all off, will appreciate this.

The perfect place to get your hair done when you simply want somewhere (and someone) you can trust, Salon64 is just the right amount of luxe and laid-back. When life eventually returns to normal, I strongly suggest you make it your first stop.
